The Life Of A Florida Private Investigator

One of the most frequent questions we answer from our website visitors is "What's it like to be a Florida Private Investigator?" The answers to that question will no doubt be different based on who you ask and the nature of the work being performed by each individual Florida Private Investigator. 77 Investigations is generally considered to be a family friendly agency so every Private Investigator is encouraged keep in contact with family and is assigned cases that are geographically close to home if possible. Our Investigators usually keep a travel bag packed and never really know exactly when they'll be required to fly or drive from coast to coast.

A Florida Private Investigator must be available to work 24 hours a day including weekends and holidays if the case requires it. The detective business just doesn't allow for a standard 9 to 5 schedule because suspects, witnesses, missing persons and surveillance cases don't stop at 5:00. A Florida Private Investigator must sometimes go to very unfriendly places for background checks, witness location, criminal investigations and domestic surveillance cases. Without regard to any specific area or assignment, private investigator work is a very dangerous profession and occasionally requires personal protection. Florida is one of the most beautiful places on earth but can also be as dangerous as any other state for an Investigator.

  • Private Investigator Hours

A Florida Private Investigator can work 20 to 60 hours per week on a continuous surveillance case or a variety of split shifts that involve travel and covert surveillance.
